AUSTRALIAN Guided Trek Ower's to Kokoda

Australian guided trek commencing at Ower's Corner on the 24th May and finishing in Kokoda on the 30th May where you will be our guests at 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat'. Kokoda Adventure Trek Kokoda to Owers' Corner

This trek will be led by one of our Papua New Guinea experienced guides based out of Kokoda. On the morning of the 31st May you will flown over to the Oro Province and will overnight as our guests at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven Kokoda Retreat before taking to the track the following day on the 1st June. Kokoda Adventure Trek - Ower's Corner to Kokoda

Open Trek. PNG Guided. This trek will commence at Ower's Corner on the 2nd July 2013 and will finish when you walk out in Kokoda on the 9th July 2013 where you will overnight at 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat' as our guests. Kokoda Adventure Trek Owers' Corner to Kokoda
Date: 7 July 2013 - 15 July 2013
This trek will be led by one of our Papua New Guinea experienced guides based out of Kokoda. On the morning of the 6th July you will be met at the Port Moresby International airport and driven up to Sogeri Lodge where you will spend the night. The following morning you will be driven out to Owers' Corner to commence your trek arriving in Kokoda on the 14th July. Sananada, Gona, Buna Extension
Date: 27 July 2013 - 29 July 2013
This extension has been designed so that you end your Owers' Cnr to Kokoda" on the 25th of July. On the 26th of July you will travel down to Gona whilst other trekkers booked on trek travel to Poppondetta for flight back to Port Moresby. The same transport that takes the trekkers to the airport will take you to Gona, so there is a short wait in Poppondetta while we purchase supplies for the extension.
From Gona you will travel by boat to Sanananda where you will overnight in a hut next to the ocean. Our staff will show you all the historical locations in this area and you can visit the museums at the local resort. You will be welcomed on arrival by the village with a traditional dance and later that night will watch more traditional dancing.
The following day you will walk from Sanananda to Buna and later that same day be picked up by boat and taken back to Sanananda where you will spend another night.
The following morning you will be picked up early in the morning by boat and taken back to Gona where a vehicle will meet you and drive you to Poppendetta for your flight back to Port Moresby on 28th of July

We require a minimum of 4 people to book this trek for it to be Australian Led. If less than 4 people book, the trek will still go ahead, but will be led by Clement Harika, Shane's 2nd in charge, who has walked 60 times and is an historian. The trek cost will then be changed to the cost of a local guided trek.

Sananada, Gona, Buna Extension
Date: 29 August 2013 - 31 August 2013
This extension has been designed so that you end your "Battle of Isurava - Owers' Cnr to Kokoda" on the 28th of August. On the 29th of October you will travel down to Gona whilst other trekkers booked on trek travel to Poppondetta for flight back to Port Moresby. The same transport that takes the trekkers to the airport will take you to Gona, so there is a short wait in Poppondetta while we purchase supplies for the extension.
From Gona you will travel by boat to Sanananda where you will overnight in a hut next to the ocean. Our staff will show you all the historical locations in this area and you can visit the museums at the local resort. You will be welcomed on arrival by the village with a traditional dance and later that night will watch more traditional dancing.
The following day you will walk from Sanananda to Buna and later that same day be picked up by boat and taken back to Sanananda where you will spend another night.

Kokoda Challenge Race - Only for Experts- 2 Days
Date: 31 August 2013 - 1 September 2013
KOKODA CHALLENGE RACE 2013 - this race will commence in KOKODA on the 31st August and will finish at Owers' Corner on the 1st September. In this year's race, a group of Australian's who had entered the 2012 Kokoda Challenge Race were overheard to say that this race is only for 'experts' but is highly recommended for anyone who has the fitness, mental attitude and ability to compete Trek 908:For anyone entering, you would need to plan to arrive in Port Moresby on the 29th August where you will overnight before heading over to the Oro Province on the morning of the 30th August where you will be guests at our base, Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. On the day of the race, you will be driven up to the Kokoda Station archway in readiness for a 7am start.

Private Trek - ANZAC Pilgrimage - Kokoda to Ower's
Date: 16 April 2014 - 25 April 2014
Private Trek - This trek has been created whereby you fly to the Oro Province on the 16th April and overnight at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. On the 17th April you will begin your trek when you walk up to Isurava Village to spend your first night on the Kokoda Track. On the 24th April you will finish your trek when you walk through the Archway at Owers' Corner and be picked up by Kokoda Trekking staff and driven back to Port Moresby where you will overnight. The following day you will be driven out to Bomana War Cemetery for Anzac Day and either driven back to your accommodation or dropped off to the Royal Papuan Yacht Club as this is where the majority of trekkers from all different companies hang out on Anzac Day. Breakfast was offered Anzac 2013 at a cost of K40.00 per head. Trek :

ANZAC Pilgrimage AUSTRALIAN Led - Ower's to Kokoda
Date: 16 April 2014 - 25 April 2014
Australian Led Trek:This trek has been designed so that you commence your trek from Ower's Corner (Port Moresby) end and walk to Kokoda commencing on the 16th April allowing you to finish your trek on the 23rd April, 2013 where you will be accommodated at our base 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat' as our guests.The following day 24th of April you will be flown to Port Moresby where you will overnight. The following day 25th April you will be collected from your hotel and driven to the Bomana War Cemetery for the dawn service. Following the service you will be driven back to your accommodation or to the Royal Papua Yacht Club where you can purchase breakfast and stay there or later head back to your hotel. Breakfast offered Anzac 2012 was at a cost of K40.00 per head.
